Jack and Sue Allison's visit to Malawi and Africa in 2005

The following are a collection from Dr. Jack Allison, his wife Sue and son Josh's visit to Africa and Malawi in 2005. Jack returned to Malawi to follow up upon his several visits following his years in service as a US Peace Corps Volunteer, where he participated in the Malawi assignment known as Malawi 11, serving as a Public Health Instructor at a rural hospital in a village called Nsiyaludzu. During Jack's time there, he developed one of the most popular Public Health Programs in the history of Malawi and the Peace Corps. He developed Public Health songs in the principle language of the Central and Southern Regions of Malawi of Chichewa or Chinyanja. His song, "Ufa wa Mtedza" ("Peanut Flour") which was the the first popular song on the Malawi Broadcast Corporation's Radio Malawi in the local language. Previously, languages on the radio were English, Portuguese and languages in music from South Africa and other neighboring countries.
